The Baxterley Heritage Group (now defunct) supported the Parish Council in promoting community based village projects.

BHG assisted with printing and production of the book titled “A Photographic History of Baxterley North Warwickshire” which was published in 2011.

The book contains over 170 pages with 170 plus photos and scans of documentation including rare maps and mining memorabilia.

The section on mining includes detailed engineering records and draws upon years of research by noted local historians and the Morley Report which followed the 1882 Mining disaster in which 32 men were sadly killed.

Almost certainly the most in depth and detailed documentation of the Village ever undertaken.

The first (and only) edition was just 500 in number and has sold out. Second hand copies may occasionally be available via ebay.
